I am a member of team “PC master race”. Always was and perhaps ever will be. Only had a Gameboy, Playstation 1 and a Amiga 500. Since then I am building my own gaming rigs. I never liked or could aim in a FPS with a gamepad and as I was playing mainly shooters, my fate was sealed.
With limited time and I came back to car racing. Atm I prefer Forza Horizon 5, as you can do funny stupid shit with your favorite car, but also try your best to do your best to increase your lap time in rivals. My gamepad of choice is the Logitech F710.

I decided to try out thumbstick dampeners which are normally used to improve aiming in shooter games as I thought they also would dampen the click sound when the thumbstick hits the edge. And it worked out pretty well. I bought the GAIMX CURBX (not sponsored, no affiliate link). Not only was the click sound gone, but also sudden steering movement is dampened through the resistance. This proved to reduce unwanted drifting and forced me to drive cleaner with less steering. And the lap rivals time really got better. It doesn’t drive for you, but it really helps to improve. I am using the light grey ring as the resistance is enough for my driving style.
And calming the wife worked very well with it too. 8)
